The first year Lydia and I were married, it felt like we were getting everything in order. We moved twice, we went through being pregnant and having a baby, I stopped working a second job, we started a small business and it took that first year to get everything settled and set.
By our first anniversary we were done moving, we’re not having any more kids for a few years, and things are pretty well set up and running.
Now in our second year, it seems like it’s been more of a year of God starting to prepare us for what it is that he has for us. We both got a big heart for giving, we got hearts for missions and we both sort of came to the conclusion that we are predisposed for teaching. We really started to get closer to God and to try and learn things that will help us in our future. I’m not sure exactly sure what that means for our future. Maybe missions? Giving to missions? Teaching able giving to missions? Who knows?
I’m excited to see what all this will turn into. Hopefully our third year of marriage will be the year that God tells us what it is that he wants us to do, but we’ll see.
