Recently I heard a really cool story. The person telling the story had moved to a new city. His new neighbor came over to introduce herself. After talking for just a few minutes, the new neighbor started to cry. She had been praying that her new neighbors would be Christians with a six year old son and that’s exactly who moved in.
It got me thinking. This lady had been praying this for only a few days, but the family had been planning on moving there for months, if not years before. God was in the process of answering her prayer well before she even prayed it.
We already know that God is almighty and can do anything, but He’s also all knowing. He knows everything, including everything that hasn’t happened yet.
It’s something that you probably already know, it’s something I’ve known too, but this story was a good reminder. God knows the prayers you haven’t prayed yet, and there’s a good chance that He’s been working on an answer before you even asked.
God loves you so much that when you finally get to get point where you are going to pray, He may already be doing all the stuff that needs to happen to answer that prayer. It’s pretty cool. And who knows, maybe He’s getting ready to use you to answer someone else’s prayer that hasn’t even been prayed yet.
