At church, my pastor said something about money I’ve never heard before. He said, “treat money like a river, not like a bucket.”
I’ve always sort of thought of money like a bucket. Money came in, I poured it out, then it got refilled. What my pastor said was that if you treat money like a bucket, you will always hoard it and miss out on blessings from God.
He said to treat money like a river. It always flows. It flows in, and it flows out. But there’s always more coming.
Even though I’ve always thought of money as a bucket, I’ve always trusted God to refill it. I haven’t had a problem poring out because I knew God would add more. But if money is a river, always flowing, I can be even more free with giving and using money.
I thought it would be good to share this way of thinking with you. I’ve got some more posts about money coming this week so make sure to check back or sign up for email updates so that you don’t miss out!
