Here’s a good motto that I think Christians need to take to heart.
Faith and patience
My pastor told me this once. It was sort of a joke, but not really.
God has a plan for your life. You’ve got dreams for your life. If you are living in God’s will, they’re probably the same thing. You have a dream, that’s the start. Where you’re going is the goal. But right now, you’re somewhere in the middle.
The middle is boring. The middle takes a long time. In the middle, you feel like nothing is happening. But that doesn’t mean that your dream and the call on your life has stopped.
God doesn’t change His mind. He’s cool like that. And when He gives you a dream or a call, as long as you’re living for God, it’s going to happen.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished…
God doesn’t just leave you hanging. He doesn’t give you an idea then let you figure it out on your own. He might expect you to work for it, but He will guide you and open all the doors along the way.
So if you’re like me, don’t think that the middle is where you’ll stay. Because sometimes the thing that will get you to where you and God want you to be is Faith and Patience.
